HOW CAN I HELP?
Only a few hours of your time can make a significant contribution to Deon's campaign. As you look at the opportunities below, you are sure to find one that works well with your schedule, interests, connections, and skills.
Please consider others you know who may be able to get involved one way or another. The key to success is continuing to find additional volunteers who are willing to help spread the word.
Door-to-door canvassing
An easy and highly effective way to gain support for Deon is by walking your neighborhood and talking to friends. This is really an enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a Saturday or weekday evening. To help in this way, please contact our
Door to Door Coordinator. We can train you and supply you with literature to distribute and a walking list of registered voters in one neighborhood.
Fundraising
Writing letters, calling or organizing benefits in your home are all great ways to raise money. Every donation, no matter how small, will help the campaign. If you are interested in fundraising, please contact our
Campaign Committee and we will help you with this effort.
Placing signs
Whether it's asking friends and neighbors to place signs, helping to deliver signs to those who have already accepted the invitation, or just requesting a sign for your own front yard, you can help raise awareness about Deon and her campaign.

Registering voters
As you do other work, remember to ask people if they are registered to vote. If not, the campaign can provide information on how to register. Remember that the registration deadline precede Election Day by at least a month. Voter registration forms can be found online.

Cottage meetings
Cottage meetings are a way to get Deon into your neighborhood and talking with guests in your home. It's as simple as inviting friends and neighbors to your home to hear a brief presentation from Deon. Ideally you might provide some snacks, but nothing extravagant is required. After a short presentation, Deon will take questions and invite your guests to support the campaign through volunteer efforts or monetary donations. Financial contributions
When a candidate's campaign is financed by special interests, he or she is likely to represent these interests in legislative votes. If elected, Deon will represent the people who live in her district and needs their financial support for the campaign. Contributions large or small are needed to get her message out to the voters. Please consider making a contribution today and encourage your friends to join you in this important effort.
